Life

Well its that time of year again, the year has flown past, but also so much has happened, happy moments but also very sad moments which makes being here in North Macedonia, having the luxury of a long summer break even more special.

This year, apart from the mandatory ski-ing, which was disappointing due to lack of snow in the winter months, we have visited Norway which was stunning and have visited family and friends in France. We have been in North Macedonia with the girls, granddaughters and (pending) son-in-law(s). Which apart from the disappointing weather was a really nice weekend.

Now its time for rest, relaxation and reflection and who knows maybe I will do more blogging this year.

I actually really enjoy writing this blog, its nice to look back on the progress we have made in and around the house but also to remember fun times with family and friends, but I am also always disappointed that, with every best intention I don’t keep the blog going. And why not?

Well, what I notice about blogging is that you have to really be in your own (head) space to be able to blog. I find that when I am in the flow I can lose myself completely and spend the whole day blogging. In fact I have idea’s for this blog which would take me a year to write! So why don’t I? Well, the fact of the matter is I am blessed, or cursed, however you look at it with a restless spirit, as my mother called it. I love blogging, I also love Cooking., and cycling, and being outdoors and reading and knitting. How many hours are there in a day? And why do I really need my 8 hours sleep a night 🙂 Today I cooked my sourdough bread, then I found some chocolate that my sister-in-law had left behind after her recent visit, it was not the best of chocolate but I thought, uhm, that will taste good in a cake! I also went for a cycle around Kochani, this time on my brand new electric mountain bike! More on that later but I can tell you its fantastic!

So that is the reason I don’t blog all the time. Shame. Who knows, one day I may just stay in the flow! In the meantime, enjoy these few weeks of blogging!
