Summer chapters in North Macedonia

Somehow this summer nearly slipped away without a blog post — blame my allotment society blog for stealing my attention (and my patience while figuring out their website 🙃). But I promised I’d write here again, and I’m so glad I did, because I love sharing these little summer snapshots.

The weather? Mostly sunshine, a touch of rain, and one unforgettable weekend of 40 degrees. Stepping outside felt like being squeezed in a giant bear hug — not in a good way. Still, there’s been plenty of swimming, cycling through mountain villages, and even a dramatic race with a brewing storm (spoiler: I made it home first!).

Highlights this year:
🌿 Finally perfecting my sourdough bread
🔥 Breaking in my husband’s new birthday BBQ
🏡 Enjoying the finished summerhouse — shade by day, games by night
🌸 Buying more oleanders to go with the amazing ones already in the garden
🧵 Practising mindfulness through embroidery
✈️ A little detour to Greece
💛 Visits from the girls & catch-up with friends

Feeling grateful, recharged, and already wishing summer could last just a little bit longer.
